Location is great, it is in the quieter part of the main backpacker area lift to all 9 floors, the rooms are a good size, clean with fridge, flat screen TV fridge and hair dryer, the rooms could do with updating.
There is no tea making facilities

Air conditioning barely worked. Only one key per room. Hard time communicating with staff due to language barrier.

The Hotels location is great, close to everything but no noise . The room was quite large. There is nothing fancy about this hotel but everything works well and it's clean and quiet! Good value.

An An hotel is located a block or so back from the main street in the backpacker area. This means it is close to lots of good cheap restaurants, tour places and other stuff, but bit further away from the noise (so it is quieter than other hotels on the main street). The hotel was very clean, with a good shower and spacious rooms. The staff were always friendly.
We had a bit of problem with the time it took to do the laundry at the hotel, but there are a few laundrys within a block or two of the hotel that do it by the kilo at cheap rates, so we ended up using them for our other laundry. Minor issue overall.

The hotel is just where we wanted it to be - easy to get to bars, restaurants, shops and markets, but just away from the main bustle and noise. The room was very clean and comfortable. We liked it that much that we have booked a room there when we pass through Ho Chi Minh on our way home.

Airport transfers and checkin services were excellent. Staff were friendly, efficient and professional. The location was very central to the hottest tourist area and the double glazed windows effectively blocked out all of the street noise, which in Ho Chi Min City is considerable. The rooms were very clean, spacious and well serviced. Also the house keeping service did not commence until late morning, so you did not have service staff loitering around your door at 6.30 am like in so many other hotels we stayed in while in Vietnam.
I have absolutely no complaints about AnAn Hotel aside from the beds being fairly firm, but this seems to be the norm in Vietnam, having stayed at seven different hotels during our travel there.

Very friendly staff, always smiling and willing to help in any way. We stayed at the beginning and end of our Vietnam adventure at the hotel, in two different rooms which were both large and spotlessly clean. It us central to backpacker area and less than 10mins stroll to Ben Than market and another 5 to upmarket district.

Cleanliness of the room was excellent. The location was great for organising tours and a short cab ride to most places in town. Right near a very touristy area but walk a block away and it's much more Vietnamese.
Staff did not speak very good English so weren't so good at answering questions. Otherwise the travel agency downstairs was fine and they were otherwise very courteous and tried to help when they could.

Good view from our eighth floor room. Useful in-house travel service, which organised an interesting trip to the Mekong delta. Location near restaurants and shops.
